Dish 1: Balti Chicken or Vegetarian Option of Suran (elephant foot yam)

Balti, literally translated in some of the Indian languages, means "bucket". 

While certainly not cooked in a bucket, in many restaurants this dish is served in some form of decorative bucket. However, Balti Chicken is cooked in an iron pot, which gave the dish its name. 

The chicken is marinated in a spice blend that is mixed in a little yoghurt, and then cooked with onions, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic after adding some whole spices in the cooking oil.
